Mandy moved to Evanston and began working in the Program in Comparative Literature in September 2008, when her husband started at Kellogg Business School. Before that, she lived in the United Kingdom and China. She holds a Masters in “Life Writing” from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and has written for several anthologies and the UK’s “Bad Idea” magazine. When not working or writing, Mandy enjoys teaching yoga at NU, Kellogg and Edgewater Athletic Club (EAC).

Meredith Lane, Work study student
MeredithLane2011@u.northwestern.edu

Meredith is a sophomore studying in WCAS. She is currently an undecided major, but is interested in Spanish language and literature and linguistics. She also has an interest in journalism, and so enjoys producing the CLS newsletter. On campus, she is a member of BLAST, a ballroom dancing club, and she loves reading books and playing/listening to music, as well as spending time with her friends.

Stephanie Lu, Work study student
StephanieLu2012@u.northwestern.edu

Stephanie is a Weinberg sophomore, studying - you guessed it - comparative literature. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and working hard to become fluent in French. Her interests include web design, ballroom dancing, piano, and writing. Her first published novel is The Dream-Quest (iUniverse 2006); she is now experimenting with different styles of writing. In the CLS office, she designs flyers, organizes the bulletin board, and helps with technological odds-and-ends.
